I bought these to run in 2 of my trucks.
Stampede vxl with castle sct sv3/3800kv, 2.8 trenchers, 11/54 gearing
Converted eJato with traxxas vxl-3s and castle 3800kv motor, also 2.8 trenchers and hot racing steel single speed conversion.

I've run these packs a couple bash sessions now. I ran both packs in my eJato right after I got them and I ran 4 cycles through my stampede yesterday, twice for each pack.

From what I can tell, one of the packs isn't performing nearly as good as the other. The good pack gives me great punch for about 15 minutes of solid running at a skate park and some grass running, then it falls off and LVC kicks in by 17 minutes.

The other pack seems very soft for lack of a better term. Punch is noticeably much less for the first 10 minutes and it really drops off in speed after that with LVC kicking in around 13 minutes.

I time every single run with a timer on my remote so I can hopefully catch problems before they become big problems. It also helps me keep an eye on how a pack is doing. If I usually average 20 minutes on a pack that all of the sudden drops to 15 or 10, I know I either have something binding or the pack is on its last leg.

My temps seemed ok in the stampede with a motor and esc fan I was seeing no more than 90F on the esc and 115F on the motor. It was 55F outside yesterday and I ran both packs back to back at one skate park, then drove 45 minutes to another skatepark and ran both packs again back to back. The second time, I ran the weak pack first thinking maybe the truck was overheating or something, but it still reacted the same. Then when I put in the good pack, it ran great again.

For the past year, I've been running SMC 2S 7400mah lipo's in both vehicles. I wanted more speed than I could safely get on 2S. So I geared down and bought these to try 3S. I'm much happier with both trucks now on 3S, but I may need to look elsewhere to find packs that will fit as I don't want to keep buying these to have a 50% failure rate. Granted, the pack didn't fail, but it doesn't perform nearly as well. Id rather spend a bit more for consistency. I have 14 SMC 2S lipo's, 7200s, 7400s and 9000s. All of which performed the same. I still run those in my ERBE, savage flux hp and outcast in 2x2S configuration.

I only tried these packs because the dimensions were such that they would fit in all my trucks, even though I intended on running them in 2 of them. I may just go with SMC 3S packs that will fit the 2 trucks as I likely would never run them in my savage or ERBE, which have narrow battery bays that don't allow for very tall packs. Great! No Puffing! Aton!Review by Airbaron

I bought this battery hoping it would outlast the factory LiPo's. I was not disappointed - this battery has NOT puffed up after many uses in my Traxxas Aton. The factory 5000mah batteries puff up by the 5th use! I'm on about 25 uses with this battery with zero puffing. The middle cell is sluggish getting to 4.2 volts, but otherwise no issues with the cells. Much better than the factory batteries at a much lower cost!! (Posted on 11/17/2017)

I wanted something other than a Traxxas battery. Grabbed one of these with a TRX plug and it fits like a glove and performs GREAT! A++ (Posted on 9/30/2017)

This battery rocks. Awesome punch and the run time is impressive like all the other HS lipos I've used. Puts some other big name brands to shame. Will always be ordering HobbyStar batteries.

It's a bit tall, but still fits in my slash 2wd with the stock battery hold down. Purchased the extended battery kit and now it's perfect. (Posted on 9/5/2016)

I bought these batteries specifically so i can run them in my xo-1, spartan and e-revo. They work perfect, supply plenty of power, and fit perfect in the vehicles I run them in. Highly recommended to anyone in the hobby. The price, you simply cannot beat it. (Posted on 3/18/2016)
