I run this motor with a Castle XLX2 ESC in a Traxxas Xmaxx I’ve never had an issue with it. Plenty of power. Very good value at this price. This is my first Hobbystar motor. So far I am very pleased. (Posted on 9/22/2022)

These are great motors I have run multiple kv ones in my 1/5 scales. The 980kv in my arrma outcast with a Max5 esc and it’s a monster. Also run the 580kv in a kraken vekta for the past 3 years on 12s and it’s been great. These motors are worth every penny especially with the cost significantly less then other brands on the market. Can I install this engine in my E Revo 2.0 VXL 6s brushless? Thanks in advance!!!
A:
Unfortunately no, this is a 1/5 sized motor which is far too large for a Revo.

Is it ok to shorten motor wires?
A:
It is, but keep in mind that the solder joint must be done correctly to ensure proper operation. The larger motors take a lot of heat and some time to ensure good solder penetration.

Hi would this be more suited to a baja 5b than the leopard 58110/58113 without being underpowered??
A:
It is a comparable motor, as far as overall power it depends on KV/Voltage/Gearing but you can make the same power with these motors, very popular in the 1/5 rigs.
