Took a chance with this servo for little more than curiosity seeing nothing to back up their quality, and honestly I'm glad I did. First time out and I am really impressed with how well it performed! I have always relied on Savox and actually used my new Hobbystar in place of a Savox 1267sg in my MBX 8 ECO. My Hobbystar proved its worth both speed and torque. Is much faster than what I'm used to for a 1/8th scale and I actually had to slow my servo setting in my controller down to 30% and turn up my expo to settle in the responsiveness. I'd actually feel just as comfortable running this in my 2wd buggy or wheeler any day at full power in comparison to any of my high speed servos. It proved some toughness for at least this race weekend at what is one of the biggest outdoor tracks in my state where I've seen guys lose top dollar hi-end servos in the past. Now, I can't say I put a beating on it but it got a good workout, took a few hard hits and went back to work without issue! And for now may be keeping itself in place of the savox as a result.
Overall I'm initially impressed. Great performance, durability and build quality seems spot on. Time will tell however if this servo is a steal or a bust, but for the excellent price I wouldn't feel at a loss even if it can't last long. (Posted on 7/26/2020)
