This thing pushes a lot of air at 6V. Nearly levitates itself on the bench. Nice silicone power lead with a +/- on the plug showing polarity. I bought a couple of these as backups for my esc fans. Pushes a lot more air than the OEM traxxas/castle/arrma esc fans. Probably even enough for a decent motor fan.

The entire frame is aluminum, including the back part that holds the motor. Should prove to hold up better than my other esc fans as they tend to break the little legs that hold the motor, then the fan bangs into the side of the housing and destroys itself.

I compared it to my other fans. I have the castle 3800kv motor, sct sv3 esc, traxxas mxl6s, vxl3s, arrma 185blx fans. (Posted on 2/14/2019)
Hobbystar Extreme Aluminum case 30x30 fan.Review by Raul

As soon as I saw these I had to have a couple. They are wicked fast, move tons of air for a 30x30 fan. I am using them mounted to my Hobbystar 150A Pro ESC. I only wish these had a direct plug like their plastic counterpart to easily plug into the esc. But for any skilled hobbyist making that happen isnt too difficult. Dont hesitate a moment more, get you some tornado making fans while looking like a million dollars doing it (Posted on 8/26/2018)

Hi Does this need an jst adapter for my hoppywing max 8 esc. Will it hurt the fan if I go straight into the fan port with no adapter
A:
Looking at the MAX8, it appears to be a direct plugin, no need for an adapter.
