what does it mean if it says 6T? I know it means 6 turns but what does that actually mean? Why is that even important as a technical detail?

The "T" refers to the stator winding "turns". In the past many motors were rated by "Turn" rather than KV, now mostly only 2-pole motors are rated by "Turns" and 4-poles are rated by KV. Some guys still like to know how many turns they have so it is often still a listed spec.
