The Tenshock SC411 takes the stellar performance of the SC410V2 and goes one step further by adding a sensor for full sensored operation.  The stator uses a "Y" winding which produces a lower idle current, and the rotor is a hand-wrapped Kevlar unit to ensure reliable performance at any RPM.  The combination of sensored operation and a 12-slot high-torque stator provide precision acceleration and explosive power.  This 4-pole powerhouse is housed in a beautifully machined billet-aluminum can with ultra-low friction bearings and high-purity windings.

Perfect motor for large fast outdoor tracks! Gobs of power! I had the 4000 with an 18 tooth, and it was fast but wasn't enough for the huge 200' track i race on. I bought the 4600kv, went down to a 17t pinion on my 410.3 and it's perfect. Very fast, very smooth and runs at 130-140 degrees. Love this motor! (Posted on 6/20/2016)

I purchased the 4000kv, its a fast motor and very smooth. Id recommend the 4000kv for indoor smaller tracks where you dont need ballistic top end speed... the 4600kv or even 5200kv would be better for large, fast outdoor tracks. I'm running an 18t pinion, and after a race my motor temps at 130. Great price, great motor. (Posted on 6/1/2016)

Can I run it it without the motor sensor cables, is that fine? I want to run this with my traxxas vxl-3s esc. Thank you
A:
It is not recommended to run a sensored motor without the sensor connected. Tenshock has a sensorless version of this motor which also costs less: https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/brushless-car-motors/1-10-motors/tenshock/tenshock-sc401v2-brushless-sensorless-4-pole-1-10-short-course-motor.html
