I have two seasons on this unit.....still going strong (Posted on 2/16/2018)
Awesome combo and a great value! Review by N/A
Dropped in this 1/8th scale motor (2650kv) and esc combo in my Slash 4x4 Platinum. The truck is insanely fast with tons of torque. ESC is easily programmable with the program card and stays cool even with multiple 3s packs. I'd buy again for a different basher. I have my eye on an Axial Yeti right now. Just wish it were waterproof. (Posted on 5/26/2016)

Hi Where does the program card plug into the 150a Hobbystar ESC? Thanks
There are two leads coming from the ESC, one is plugged into your receiver and the other plugs into the program card.

how do you think the 2050 would work in a older model 1/8 scale mugen buggy?
It depends on the voltage you are running, but in general this is an ideal setup for 1/8 buggies. We have a good read on setting up brushless systems here: https://www.rcjuice.com/power_system_setup

Is this at least splashproof?
Yes they are. They are actually mostly waterproof, but the fan and switch are not so they don't get a full waterproof rating.
